Safety & Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Bubble exists to help people form genuine local connections. That only works when everyone feels respected and safe. These guidelines explain what we expect from members, what isn’t allowed, and how to look after yourself when meeting people in real life.
The Basics
- Be real. Use your real name and a recognizable photo. No impersonation, fake profiles, or catfishing.
- Be respectful. Disagree without insulting. Debate ideas, not people.
- Be 18+. Bubble is for adults. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 will be removed.
- Look out for each other. If you see something off, report it. Reports are confidential.
What’s Not Allowed
The following will result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban:
- Harassment & hate: threats, bullying, doxxing, slurs, or content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
- Sexual content involving minors: zero tolerance. We report to the relevant authorities.
- Non-consensual nudity or sexual content, including sharing intimate images of someone without their consent.
- Violence & dangerous behavior: credible threats, glorification of violence, or coordination of physical harm.
- Illegal activity: selling regulated or illegal goods (drugs, weapons, stolen property), trafficking, fraud, or organizing illegal events.
- Scams, spam, and manipulation: phishing, pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, mass-DMing, fake engagement, and bot activity.
- Sexual solicitation: Bubble is not a hookup or escort platform. Soliciting sexual services is not allowed.
- Privacy violations: sharing other people’s personal information (address, phone, financial info, location) without their consent.
- Self-harm content presented in a way that promotes or instructs. (We’ll always direct people in crisis to professional resources.)
Meeting People In Person
Most Bubble events are great. A few are not. Treat first meetups like meeting any stranger from the internet:
- Meet in public places for first interactions — cafes, parks, group events.
- Tell someone where you’re going and when you expect to be back. Share your location with a trusted contact if possible.
- Get yourself there and back. Don’t rely on someone you just met for transportation, lodging, or money.
- Watch your drinks and belongings. Never leave food or drink unattended.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.
- Don’t share sensitive info early — home address, work schedule, financial details, or copies of ID.
- Avoid sending money to people you’ve only met on Bubble. Romance and investment scams are real and increasingly sophisticated.
Organizers: Your Responsibilities
If you create a Bubble or host an event, you’re shaping the experience for others. We expect organizers to:
- Describe events accurately, including location, cost, age limits, and what to expect;
- Comply with all local laws (licensing, permits, alcohol service, capacity, accessibility);
- Set and enforce clear ground rules for behavior;
- Respond to safety concerns promptly and remove anyone who threatens or harasses attendees;
- Carry insurance where appropriate. Bubble does not provide event insurance.

Bubble Connect Ltd does not host, organize, supervise, vet, background-check, or otherwise endorse any member, Bubble, event, or organizer. Profiles, bubbles, and events are user-generated. Information shown to you (including photos, descriptions, and stated identities) may be inaccurate, incomplete, or false. Any decision to interact with another member or attend an event is your own, made at your own risk.

Reporting and Blocking
Every profile, post, comment, message, and event has a Report option. Use it. Reports are reviewed by our team and are confidential — the reported user is not told who reported them.
You can also block any member. Blocked users can’t see your profile, message you, or interact with your content.

If you’ve experienced harm involving a Bubble member, we encourage you to report it to the relevant authorities. We will cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
Enforcement
We use a mix of human review, member reports, and automated tools to enforce these guidelines. Depending on severity and pattern, consequences range from warnings and content removal to temporary suspensions and permanent bans, including across any future accounts. Some violations may also be reported to law enforcement.
Changes
We’ll update these guidelines as the community grows and as new patterns of behavior emerge. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
