Terms of Service

Welcome to Bubble. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Bubble Connect Ltd (“Bubble,” “we,” “us”) and govern your access to and use of the Bubble mobile and web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using Bubble, you represent that you are 18 or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter these Terms, and that you are not barred from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction. We may require age verification at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to minors.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the information you provide, the activity that occurs under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed. You may not impersonate others, share your account, or create accounts by automated means.

3. The Service

Bubble helps people discover and join local communities (“Bubbles”), create and attend events and meetups, post content, and message other members. Features may change, launch, or be removed at our discretion. Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions or in-app purchases; pricing and terms for those features will be presented at the point of purchase.

4. User Content

“User Content” means anything you post, upload, or transmit through the Service, including profile information, photos, posts, comments, messages, events, and Bubbles. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Bubble a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (e.g., for formatting and display), distribute, and display your User Content for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, and promoting the Service.

You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and (b) your User Content does not violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent purpose;
  • Harass, threaten, dox, stalk, or impersonate any person;
  • Post content that is hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, violent, or otherwise violates our Community Guidelines;
  • Sell, solicit payment for, or distribute regulated goods (e.g., drugs, weapons) through the Service;
  • Use the Service to send spam, bulk messages, scams, phishing, or unsolicited advertising;
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data, or attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service or its security;
  • Use bots, automated agents, or third-party software to access the Service without our written permission.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice.

6. Events, Meetups, and Real-World Interactions

Bubble enables members to organize and attend in-person and online events. Bubble does not host, organize, supervise, or vouch for any event, organizer, or attendee.You participate in events at your own risk. You are solely responsible for assessing the safety of any event or person and for complying with all applicable laws. See our Safety & Community Guidelines for more information.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and original content, is owned by Bubble Connect Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., maps, payment processors, push notifications). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Bubble is not responsible for third-party services.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to other members. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., licenses to User Content already shared, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY USER, BUBBLE, OR EVENT IS SAFE, ACCURATELY DESCRIBED, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUBBLE CONNECT LTD AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS OR ATTENDANCE AT ANY EVENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (£100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bubble Connect Ltd from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your User Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable mandatory consumer protection laws give you a right to bring claims in your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
